GREETING OF SHIN-NIKKEIJIN NETWORK Association, Cebu Inc

After the end of the World War II, we have one goal in stepping forward and holding on together, aiming for good relationship and friendship between Japan and Philippines.
Then we, Shin-Nikkeijin (Japino-born after World War II) with Filipina mothers who are separated from their Japanese Fathers, stand up for this purpose together with Japanese experts who supported this organization project. This Japino's are financially incapable and helpless in their daily needs. Most of them can not eat 3 times a day, normally enough.

As of 2004, there are aleady 60,307 Shin-Nikkeijin (Japinos)
recorded in (Japan Government Statistics Sensus) has a Japanese Nationality, both living in Japan and Philippines. But these estimation of approximately 30,000 Japino's staying in the Philippines are only bearing Philippine Nationality, therefore, a rough calculation of 100,000 populations or more. However, adding new born babies are born 10,000 annually. Japan's population (new era) already started reducing since last year, 2005. Therefore, they Japino's become a good popularized source of "workable immigrant" that we can expect. Recalling back the end of the World War II in 1945, Japan suffered war damage of approximately 100,000 orphans, street urchins and people died from severe famine. This was the actual situation in Japan 60 years ago. Hard work and unity made the Japanese people to stand up and revived their economic situation.

SNN inaugurated on February 24, 2006 and started its operation on the 27th. We had a good and wide endorsement program through local T.V., radio and newspaper.. One of the local largest T.V. network in Cebu, ABS-CBN aired us live in their morning show (Maayong Buntag Kapamilya on March 14, 2006 at 6:30 A.M.) with me (Oka, Akira), Japinos and their mothers, and GMA T.V. network during their evening news (Balitang Bisdak at 6:00 P.M.), 5 local (Bisaya) radio stations and newspaper (Sunstar Daily). Posters of SNN were posted on Churches, Barangays and provinces. Those promotions made a positive reactionsand good response. Phone ringing continuously in the office for inquiries and walk-in applicants. Had a long day consultation, everyday is always a busy day. Japino children calling me "Papa Oka. In Japan side, promotion also started covering reports by T.V. and radio (NHK) and (T.V. Asahi) and newspaper (Mainichi), (Yumiuri), (Chunichi), (Shizuoka).

After all the promotion program had been aired, SNN members currently has a total of approximately 400 members as of August 2006.; 260 (children) and 140 (mothers). . A rough estimate of (50%) members has

Japanese Nationality or available Visa application ("TEIJU-VISA") and 120 members are presently studying SNN Japanese Lesson. Free tuition fee and a total of 100 hours lesson with class schedule of 3 times a week. After completion of Nippongo lessons, they are qualified to work in Japan on September 2006, opt for as a factory worker(car manufacturing and or electronic component, etc.) (care-giver or home-helper). A Japanese Nationality and a Teiju-Visa holder are qualified and can select job availability same as a pure Japanese. And due to employment demand a mother and child can work together, if they improve the working stability. In cases, wherein, applicants who are interested to work as care-givers or home-helpers, we are affiliated with CHP (Caregiving Training School-Certified by TESDA- a Philippine Government Agency) as similar to level II in Japan.

In my life's achievements, SNN is my third and most recent project in the Philippines, (a non-profit organization)
My second achievements is Aqra International (Exporter) and at the same time President of Japanese Association (Cebu) Philippines
And my first accomplishment in life was a machine tool manufacturing in Japan.
(I had been a recipient of the "Order of the Rising Sun-Silver Ray Award" from Emperor of Japan in the year 2002.)
